STRONTIUM is a common mineral element of the calcium family present in water and food. Trace amounts are found naturally in the human skeleton. A bone-seeking mineral taken up on the bone’s crystal surface, strontium may lead to normalized bone density by inhibiting osteoclast activity and to draw more calcium into bones. Clinical trials have shown increases in bone mineral density by increasing bone formation without changes in bone resorption in both pre and post-menopausal women compared to placebo. Strontium may also protect the teeth against cavities and promote cartilage growth.** Adequate calcium, magnesium and vitamin D intake is very important when using strontium. Other supplements: Cissus, ipriflavone, lactoferrin, Vit K, DHEA, progesterone cream, boron, etc., should be synergistic. Those on kidney dialysis should not take strontium supplements. Typical dose is 340mg strontium (from 1000mg strontium citrate) one to two times per day on an empty stomach separate from food and supplements containing calcium. Low cost powder at one fourth to one eighth cost of capsules. Strontium citrate 120 grams (120 doses 340mg strontium), $7.50, Code 309.0
