Beyond The Dream: A Celebration of Black History

On February 1, 1989 thousands of Americans participated in a historic event. For the first time, Black History Month had a national kickoff unlike any other. A major telecommunications event brought together distinguished experts on the contributions to Blacks to this country with audiences at colleges and universities, military installations, secondary schools, national associations and federal and state agencies.
