	This beautiful decoration was made from an original paper candy container from the 1890s, with its original yellow crepe-paper edging and wired tinsel handle. We added two different original circa 1920s Halloween papers- a running cat border along the sides and early vintage paper on the bottom (click picture to see details), plus, rare black Dresden paper trim, orange early vintage chip-tinsel garland, Dresden paper trim (rimming crepe paper), and reproduction Halloween script. The kitty was hand-cut from a Victorian advertising card, and we created our own "confetti" with vintage crepe paper for the inside of the container. Handmade and signed by Gail Giaimo. 	This fabulous Asian motif makes for a cohesive and stunning ornament. This scrap Japanese woman in a kimono has been given a real vintage paper parasol to shade her from the sun. The antique Dresden trims and fabulous rare gold-and-red tinsel match the colors in both the scrap and the lovely vintage indented ornament with hand-painted poinsettias. 	NO DETAIL WAS SPARED IN DECORATING THIS RARE ONE-OF-A-KIND PAPER FAN FROM THE AESTHETIC PERIOD (CIRCA 1880S). The antique Dresden paper swag border is an exact match to the scallops in the fan, as is the early vintage Dresden paper circle designed hand-cut from a medallion. Miniature antique Dresden papers and antique gold cording decorate most of the edges of fan and frame the miniature picture of a hunting scene. Fan is backed with antique gold paper, and antique gold braid is made into a tassel for the final touch. Handmade and signed by Gail Giaimo.
