Compo. leaves line the base of the bowl and are bent, but overall this does not detract from the beauty of this miniature fruit bowl. His original cord hanger was missing, so we found some antique red cording and carefully secured it to his head inside his hat, at its original attachment point. He is unmarked. 	This soft and cuddly 1920s Japanese-made Santa will look right at home hanging from a traditional Victorian feather tree, or position him under your tree (propped up against the tree stand or inside a sled) with your other treasures. His wire-frame body is lavishly wrapped with thick fluffy cotton batting in lovely faded red. His feet are nicely wrapped in black cotton batting, and he is trimmed in chenille with paper belt and cotton beard. Hand painted details on his expressive face are very nice. Santa has wonderfully painted Mache head, felt fabric covered cardboard body, rabbit's fur beard (however the fur has worn off over time), clay boots, paper belt, and feathertree sprig (original berry was missing so we added a nice early vintage one).
