	These rain barrels have a screw-on CLOSED LID with three overflow male hose connections, which allows you to hook your diverter up to either side of the rain barrel. With a CLOSED LID system, the diverter MUST be installed above the rain barrel with a constant drop in the connector hose. See Instructions provided with the diverter. The rain barrels have a plastic on/off valve, and a bottom drain cap. The overflow fittings allow excess water to be diverted into a second barrel (or third, or fourth or fifth etc.) With the diverter installed, all excess water is channeled back into the downspout. These terra cotta colored 50 gallon plastic barrels were originally brought into this country filled with peppers and garlic. Dimensions = 35” tall 23” diameter. These barrels hold approximately 50 gallons. All of our plastic rain barrels are made from re-cycled food grade barrels. These plastic recycled barrels have traveled many thousands of miles, and even though we have thoroughly cleaned them inside and out, and applied several coats of a UV polish, they may still have some small scratches and scrapes. This should be considered as part of the "character" of the Grecian rain barrels. The plastic on/off valve and caps are shipped inside the barrel and will need to be screwed onto the pre-installed plastic fittings by the customer. The on/off valve can be interchanged with the bottom drain cap if desired. 	This rain barrel is a 50 gallon closed head terra cotta rain barrel with an Aunt Molly's automatic diverter included. All of our plastic rain barrels are made from re-cycled food grade barrels. These plastic recycled barrels have traveled many thousands of miles, and even though we have thoroughly cleaned them inside and out, and applied several coats of a UV polish, they may still have some small scratches and scrapes. These scratches and scrapes do not effect the water tight integrity of the rain barrel. This should be considered as part of the "character" of the recycled rain barrels. These barrels came into the country from Greece, Spain, Egypt, India and Argentina, filled with olives, peppers, pickles, mixed vegetables and many other exotic food products. We have kept these empty barrels out of landfills by turning them into useful products for your homes and gardens. This 50 gallon terra cotta rain barrel came into this country from Greece, filled with yellow peppers. It is approximately 35 inches tall and 23 inches wide. It has a closed snap on lid with no holes. It has three top male hose connections, a plastic spigot and a bottom drain plug. One of the top hose connections will be used with the Aunt Molly's automatic rain water diverter which is included with this rainbarrel. The diverter will divert rain water from your downspout into your rain barrel, until the rain barrel is full, and then automatically send the rest of the water back through the down spout or into a second or third rain barrel, and then back through the downspout.
